1 oz Silver Jesus Christ 2026 – sacred glass art in a mintage of only 100 pieces

  • Strictly limited: Only 100 pieces exist worldwide of this special edition.
  • Growth opportunities: Very high value appreciation potential due to the tiny mintage and the continued strong demand for religious collector's designs.
  • Rarity: An extremely rare collector's coin that is unlikely to come onto the market a second time in this form.
  • Exclusive: You can only obtain this collector's item at Kettner Edelmetalle – nowhere else.
  • High-quality finishing: Color application and partial gilding are applied especially for you in several technical work steps.
  • Design: Portrait of Christ with crown of thorns in front of a glowing church window motif, on the reverse the crucifixion scene with the inscription "REX GLORIAE".
  • Investment goal: A rare collector's item whose strict limitation holds remarkable value appreciation potential.
  • Material / fineness: 31.1 g of purest silver with a fineness of 999.9/1,000 – highest purity as the basis for the finishing.
  • Manufacturer: Kettner Edelmetalle – additionally finished afterwards in Germany.
  • Country of origin: Germany, issued for the Republic of Liberia with a face value of 20 dollars.

Some coins are simply filed away. Others are meant to be admired. The 1 oz Silver Jesus Christ 2026 undoubtedly belongs to the latter category: with a very low mintage of only 100 pieces, it ranks among the scarcest editions currently offered as a collector's coin. Whoever holds it in their hands owns no mass product, but a lover's piece that simply will not return in this form.

A design like a glowing church window

The obverse shows Jesus Christ with a crown of thorns in half-portrait – gaze directed upward, the long hair worked out in the finest strands, every fold of the robe visible. Behind it, arranged concentrically, extends a stained-glass painting in green, olive and gold tones, reminiscent of Gothic choir windows. This is precisely where the artistry of the partially gilded design shows itself: inscription, crown of thorns and rim beading stand out in gold against the colored background. The image is completed by the inscriptions "JESUS CHRISTUS", "FINE SILVER", "1 OZ 999 9" as well as the year of issue 2026.

The reverse: "REX GLORIAE" – King of Glory

On the reverse, the crucifixion scene unfolds in full depth. Above the cross gleams the INRI plaque, below lie the rocks of Golgotha, while a mighty rose window glows once again in the background. Around the rim you read "REX GLORIAE", "20 DOLLARS" and "REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA". A composition that radiates calm – and which, through the multi-layered color application, achieves an almost spatial effect.

"Religion" series – sacred art in coin format

Religious depictions are among the oldest and most enduring themes in coin art. They outlast trends because they are understood across cultures. This edition from the "Religion" series translates centuries-old sacred visual language into a modern format: a diameter of 40 mm offers the scene enough surface area for facial expression, the wood grain of the cross, and the individual glass segments to unfold their full effect.

Finishing with precision – subsequently refined in Germany

The base coin is manufactured in Germany. Afterwards, each individual piece is elaborately finished at a specialized facility in Germany: first the color application, then the partial gilding. Both require a steady hand, experience and precision – and both explain why such series are never produced in large numbers. The manufacturer's designation refers to the coin, not to the finishing.

Purest fine silver as the base material

At 999.9/1,000, the fineness is of the highest level. 31.1 grams – exactly one troy ounce – in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition, protected in a coin capsule, with a reeded edge. Silver has accompanied humanity for millennia as a coinage metal, served as legal tender for ancient advanced civilizations, and to this day is regarded as a symbol of prosperity and permanence. The fact that it is also in demand in electronics, solar technology and medical technology gives the white metal an intrinsic value that extends far beyond the collector's shelf. Another plus point: profits from the sale of silver are generally tax-free after a minimum holding period of one year.

Whoever recognizes the rare must act quickly: with one hundred pieces, it is not the price that decides, but the timing.

Why this edition stands out in comparison

Classic bullion coins such as Maple Leaf, Krugerrand or American Eagle are minted in the millions; their price essentially follows the material value. The advantage: high liquidity, tradable at any time, known worldwide. The disadvantage for the collector: hardly any rarity value. This rarity reverses that relationship. The limitation to one hundred pieces, the elaborate hand-finishing and a design of timeless brilliance create exactly the kind of scarcity from which additional value appreciation potential can arise on the collector's market. Even alongside its sister edition in Proof quality, which comprises 1,000 pieces, this variant appears exceptionally rare.

Who this coin is suited for

Collectors of religious motifs will find here a highlight that should hardly be missing from any thematic collection. Fans of modern micro-mintages will appreciate the simple number on the certificate label. And whoever is looking for a gift for a baptism, communion, confirmation or Christmas is making a choice that lasts. That silver coins are also valued as a solid inflation hedge and reliable crisis protection is a pleasant side effect – for this edition, however, the collector's value is clearly the main focus.
