Born on 10 October 1825
Paul Kruger was born on 10 October 1825 in the Cape Colony. From 1883 he was President of the South African Republic, the Transvaal.
He died on 14 July 1904 in Clarens, Switzerland.
The Krugerrand bears his name: Kruger and Rand, the currency of South Africa.
