1 ounce of silver, brilliant uncirculated and in colour, issuing country Democratic Republic of the Congo. It lived towards the end of the Devonian, about 360 million years ago.

From the rock

Instead of teeth it had sharpened edges of bone.

What survives is mainly its bony armour, and that covered only the front of its body.

No human has ever seen this animal alive: it disappeared with all armoured fish at the end of the Devonian, about 359 million years ago.
