Small in format, clear in substance: with the 0.5 g Gold Iron Maiden – Senjutsu 2022, the real reason to buy is the gold it contains, whose value is directly tied to the gold price. The powerful design gives this coin its personal touch – but the 0.5 grams of fine gold form the actual foundation. Within the popular Gold Cook Islands range, the Iron Maiden series holds a distinctive place, and as one of the smallest gold coins in the assortment, it is excellently suited for stepping into physical precious metals step by step.

The design: Eddie marches into the final battle

The obverse shows Eddie, the legendary mascot of Iron Maiden, in full samurai armor with katana drawn – modeled in rich detail down to the texture of the armor and the folds of the robe. Alongside this appear the Japanese lettering "SENJUTSU", the band name IRON MAIDEN, and the year of issue 2022. Senjutsu is Japanese and is freely translated by the band as "tactics and strategy"; the studio album of the same name climbed to the top of the charts in numerous countries. The reverse bears the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the face value of 5 dollars, and the issuing country Cook Islands.

Strictly limited: rarity with potential

With a very low mintage of only 15,000 pieces worldwide, this edition is strictly limited and a true rarity. Where supply is scarce while demand surrounding a cult band remains high, an interesting appreciation potential emerges – a welcome side effect of the deliberate limitation. This makes this piece far more than an ordinary collector's coin: at its core, you are acquiring recognized investment gold, whose substance lies in the pure fine gold.

Investment gold in compact form

Gold is the oldest currency in the world and has never known a value of zero. As a scarce, globally recognized precious metal, it has served as a store of value for thousands of years and proves itself as crisis protection against inflation and currency risks. Even small amounts of gold accumulate over the years into considerable wealth – a low-threshold entry into wealth building that can also be traded and resold worldwide at any time. In Germany, profits from the sale of physical gold are generally tax-free after a holding period of at least one year. This way, you combine the clear investment character of fine gold with a design that captivates.

Despite the powerful cult design, what you acquire here is fully-fledged investment gold – minted fine gold whose value is tied to the gold price. Also ideal for gifting genuine investment gold on a special occasion.

Minting quality & technical data

The series was minted at the tradition-rich B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt in Munich, which translates CIT's designs into a sculptural, deeply detailed relief. The highest minting quality Proof (PP) creates mirror-like surfaces and finely frosted relief areas – a contrast that makes the samurai design especially striking. The coin is delivered protected in a coin capsule.
