Leaf side: three maple leaves on a shared stem, KANADA at the top, 20 and 26 on the left and right, the weight and fineness at the bottom
The leaf side
Three leaves on one stem
A large central leaf with a smaller leaf on either side. Their stems meet at the bottom in a shared base.
Above them is KANADA, the year on the left and right, 20 and 26, and at the bottom 1/50 UNZE 9999 FEINSILBER.
Canada’s coat of arms also bears three maple leaves on one stem, since 1921, first in green and since 1957 in red. There, the sprig stands for all Canadians, according to the country’s heraldic authority.

The other side shows a maple from below, the view running up the trunk into the branches. Behind it are maple leaves, some as silhouettes, some only in outline.
On the left, in large figures, is the face value, 1 DOLLAR, and at the foot of the trunk a small coat of arms of Liberia and REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA.
The issuing country is Liberia, the coin is made in Germany, and the manufacturer is Kettner Edelmetalle. KANADA on the leaf side names the theme of the design.

Crisis protection that fits in your wallet
Card blocked, checkout offline, cash in short supply – scenarios that hardly anyone talked about just a few years ago. It is precisely for such emergency situations, whether at home or abroad, that small silver coins are so popular. A 1/50-ounce coin weighs almost nothing. It can easily be carried in a wallet while traveling without drawing attention, and yet it remains a piece of genuine precious metal with intrinsic value, traded worldwide as a commodity.
- Divisibility: 100 units instead of a single large piece – you only give away what you truly want to give away.
- Means of exchange: in times of currency instability, silver has been accepted for thousands of years – especially for smaller transactions.
- Discretion: small format, unobtrusive, stowed away in seconds.
- Security: each coin protected in a capsule, plus four velvet pouches to distribute your reserve across several hiding places or people.
- Liquidity: silver is highly liquid and can be converted back into cash at any time.
The design: three maple leaves in mirror-finish brilliance
The obverse shows three overlapping maple leaves, arranged fan-like, with finely drawn leaf veins and sculpturally modeled contours. Above, the widely spaced lettering "CANADA" spans the surface, with the year of issue split into "20" and "26" on the left and right. Below, the inscription "1/50 OZ 9999 FINE SILVER" runs in a semicircle. The reverse is dedicated to a mighty maple tree, its crown interlocking with stylized leaf outlines – alongside the national coat of arms, the face value "1 DOLLAR" and the country designation "REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA".
And no, this coin is not paper-thin. It sits tangibly between your fingers, the reeded edge provides grip, and the blank has real substance. The appeal lies in the contrast: a deep, almost black mirror background meets a brightly gleaming relief. This effect is achieved exclusively through Proof quality, for which the dies are hand-polished and the blanks struck individually – a considerably more elaborate process than the usual Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
Proof is the pinnacle discipline of coin minting: hand-polished dies, individual striking, a mirror shine that no mass production can match.
What's included in the bundle

Inflation hedge and value preservation with a genuine monetary metal
Silver was currency long before paper money existed, and in many cultures it was regarded as a symbol of wealth and prestige. Unlike fiat money, whose purchasing power rests solely on trust in governments, it possesses intrinsic value: electronics, solar and medical technology create industrial demand for the raw material, while supply naturally remains limited. This makes physical silver a proven inflation hedge and a building block for value preservation across generations – all the way to long-term retirement provision. Gold is humanity's oldest currency and has outlived all others; silver has accompanied it since ancient times as its smaller, divisible sibling, while being significantly more affordable.
There is also a tax advantage: profits from the private sale of silver are generally tax-free, provided the holding period is at least one year. And because the metal is durable and retains its physical properties over decades, it serves as a silent reserve that no one can "switch off".
1/50 oz or a full ounce? An honest comparison
The classic one-ounce Silver Maple Leaf, issued by the Royal Canadian Mint since 1988, is regarded as the benchmark among bullion coins: substantial weight, understated design, close alignment with material value, and consequently a low premium per ounce. Its drawback in a crisis is obvious – anyone who only owns full ounces must always hand over an entire ounce when trading. These miniature silver coins reverse that ratio: more units, finer gradations, greater flexibility. On top of that, they feature the most elaborate minting quality a mint has to offer, complete with a tarnish-resistant surface. In a well-thought-out provisioning strategy, both worlds complement each other perfectly: heavy ounces as the foundation, small units for everyday use in a state of emergency.
Storage, care, and who benefits from this bundle
Proof surfaces are sensitive to fingerprints. It is therefore best to leave the coins in their capsules; if you do remove one, hold it only by the edge. The four velvet pouches are ideal for storing partial quantities separately – for example, one pouch each for travel luggage, household, and family. Whether as crisis provisioning, as a series to collect, or as a gift with genuine intrinsic value: this bundle brings together a hundredfold of fine silver in the highest quality, delivered brand new and insured. For collectors, it offers a design with strong recognition value; for investors and those planning ahead, it is simply a sensible reserve you can hold in your hand if needed.
