A large central leaf with a smaller leaf on either side. Their stems meet at the bottom in a shared base.
Above them is KANADA, the year on the left and right, 20 and 26, and at the bottom 1 UNZE 9999 FEINSILBER.
Canada’s coat of arms also bears three maple leaves on one stem, since 1921, first in green and since 1957 in red. There, the sprig stands for all Canadians, according to the country’s heraldic authority.

The other side shows a maple from below, the view running up the trunk into the branches. Behind it are maple leaves, some as silhouettes, some only in outline.
On the left, in large figures, is the face value, 20 DOLLARS, and at the foot of the trunk a small coat of arms of Liberia and REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA.
