The lion cub Sparta is about 28,000 years old and still has her fur and whiskers.
She was found on the bank of a river in Siberia. The cubs of the Ice Age had a long, dense underfur.
In the Chauvet Cave, mammoths, big cats, rhinoceroses and bears are among the most frequent animal images. People first entered the cave about 36,500 years ago.
