This small bullion coin made of pure gold commemorates an event of historic significance: the coronation of King Charles III. on 6 May 2023 in Westminster Abbey. It was the first British coronation of the 21st century – and Charles III. is also the first king to appear on a New Zealand decimal coin. The coin was issued by New Zealand Post on behalf of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
