Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim
Gold from the Golden City.
It began with the dust of the workshops.
Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.
The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.
1845
This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.
Inside the works
From scrap to bar.

The scrap
Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

The pour
Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

The bar
At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.
A house that carries on.

1945
In ruins
On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.
1977
The Brötzinger Tal
The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.
2010
Bars for investors
Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.
2014
Good Delivery
On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

Bars by Heimerle + Meule.
The bars in this edition bear the mark of Heimerle + Meule, and our name is on the packaging.
On the bar
What the marks say.
- 999.9
- The fineness in parts per thousand: out of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold.
- 1845
- The caster. Since 1933 he has been the emblem of the house. In the round stamp, he stands above the year 1845.
- melter assayer
- The one who melts the metal and the one who tests it. Next to these words stands the mark of the house.
- HEIMERLE + MEULE
- The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.
From dust came a name.
Made to last.
The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

100 x 1/100 oz Gold Bars Heimerle und Meule – Your Reserve in 100 Portions
One hundred tiny fine gold bars. One hundred independent units of value. A single order. This bundle contains 100 x 1/100 oz gold bars Heimerle und Meule (Kettner Edelmetalle) – together around 31 grams of pure fine gold at 999.9 fineness, divided into the smallest possible tradable portions. Anyone who has previously only thought in large units will discover a completely different principle here: not a lump of metal, but a divisible reserve that can be used piece by piece.
Crisis protection as the top priority
Small units are the backbone of any serious provisioning strategy. As crisis protection, this package plays to its strengths exactly when flexibility matters. A single card can easily be carried in your wallet while travelling, without drawing attention – whether for emergencies at home or far abroad. You don't need to cut up or sell a large bar when only a small amount is needed; you give away exactly as much as is currently required.
For thousands of years, gold has served as a globally recognized medium of exchange – from ancient Egypt through the Silk Road to the present day. It knows no national border, no blockage, no server outage. This is precisely why small denominations of gold and silver are among the most popular products for a wide variety of emergencies, as they combine security with the ability to act. A protection against political upheaval, currency turmoil and economic crises that you can literally hold in your hand.
Inflation hedge and preservation of value across generations
Gold is humanity's oldest currency and a proven store of value for over 6,000 years. It has never had a value of zero, because its intrinsic value lies in the metal itself. As an inflation hedge, physical fine gold preserves your purchasing power, while fiat money can be multiplied at will by central banks. Tellingly, the world's largest gold holders are precisely those central banks – a clear signal of just how much trust they place in their own paper money. Preservation of value is clearly at the forefront with this bundle. Small amounts add up over the years into noticeable wealth that you can pass on – to children, grandchildren, the next generation.
Heimerle + Meule – Germany's oldest refinery
The minted bars are produced by Heimerle + Meule of Pforzheim, founded in 1845 and thus Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery. The company is LBMA-accredited and processes recycled gold. Each bar bears the inscription "1/100 oz" at the top, "FINE GOLD 999.9" below it, the traditional smelter emblem with the year 1845 in the centre, the hallmark "melter assayer", as well as the lettering "HEIMERLE + MEULE". Razor-sharp minting, mirror-like shine, German craftsmanship quality.

Smallest bars compared to larger units
Honestly speaking: per gram, the premium on miniature bars is higher than on a 100-gram bar – that's the price of divisibility. In return, you receive something that larger bars and even small gold coins cannot offer in the same way: a hundredfold denomination. Where a single ounce bar can only change hands as a whole, here you retain a hundred individual options. Give away, trade, sell, distribute – you decide in the smallest of increments. This bundle is also excellent as a building block for savings plans, as a gift for a christening or wedding, or to supplement existing holdings of silver coins and bars. Profits from the sale of gold are also generally tax-free, provided the minimum holding period of one year is observed.
Anyone wishing to buy these 100 x 1/100 oz gold bars from Heimerle und Meule is opting for high liquidity, tradability at any time, and a value that tracks the gold price directly. Gold is scarce, cannot be multiplied, and is durable – it does not lose its physical properties, and certainly not its shine.
Gold is God's money – and in a hundred small portions it becomes a reserve that adapts to every situation in life.
