Molten gold flows from the crucible into an ingot mould

Heimerle + Meule · Pforzheim

Gold from the Golden City.

It began with the dust of the workshops.

Jewellery has been made in Pforzheim since the 18th century. Wherever there is filing, sawing and polishing, precious metal falls to the floor as fine dust and ends up in the sweepings.

The entrepreneur Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, to recover precious metal from production waste.

1845

This is the year the story of Heimerle + Meule begins. To this day, the date appears in the mark of the house.

Inside the works

From scrap to bar.

  1. Old silver, coins and pieces of jewellery slide from a shovel into a glowing crucible

    The scrap

Jewellery, coins, cutlery, dental gold and industrial residues: from these, the house recovers precious metal today.

  2. A melter pours molten metal from the crucible, sparks flying

    The pour

Gold melts at 1,064 degrees Celsius, silver at 962 degrees. The melter pours the molten metal from the crucible into the mould.

  3. Gold and silver bars by Heimerle + Meule on slate

    The bar

At the end comes the finished bar, bearing its weight and fineness. According to the company, the fine metals used are produced in its own refinery.

A house that carries on.

  1. 1945

    In ruins

On 23 February an air raid destroys Pforzheim’s town centre. The company’s building is also lost in the war. Afterwards, it makes a fresh start in the premises of a jewellery and watch factory.

  2. 1977

    The Brötzinger Tal

The company moves out of the town centre to the Brötzinger Tal, a valley that had been filled in after the war, partly with the rubble of the old town. Its headquarters have been there ever since.

  3. 2010

    Bars for investors

Heimerle + Meule launches its investment products division. Today, bars, boxes and cards for investors are part of its range.

  4. 2014

    Good Delivery

On 3 June the London Bullion Market Association admits the company to its Good Delivery List, the register of recognised gold refiners. It has remained on the list since that day.

HEIMERLE + MEULE
The company has borne this name since the second half of the 19th century.

Made to last.

The idea of the sweepings works lives on, too: recovering and refining precious metal has been the heart of the house since its founding.

25 x 1/200 oz Gold Bars Heimerle und Meule – real gold for the next crisis

  • Investment goal: With gold bars you protect your wealth extremely effectively against inflation.
  • Value preservation: Minted bars made of fine gold are a perfect store of value that secures and preserves the real value of your assets.
  • Protection: Especially in times of currency devaluation, recession and runaway national debt, you can protect your savings with gold.
  • Investment goal: Your wealth can be protected against inflation just as effectively with silver bars.
  • Crisis protection: 25 tiny units of fine gold, conceived as crisis protection and a discreet reserve medium of exchange for emergency situations.
  • Inflation hedge: Tangible asset instead of paper promises – inflation protection you can hold in your hand.

This investor package bundles 25 minted small bars of 1/200 ounce each from the house of Heimerle und Meule. Together this amounts to 4 g of fine gold at 999.9 fineness – spread across 25 individual, independent units of value. This is precisely where the appeal lies: not a single lump of metal, but 25 small building blocks that you can pass on, give away, or exchange separately in an emergency.

Why small denominations are the most honest form of crisis protection

A kilo bar is impressive. But who is going to make change for it in an emergency? Small denominations in gold and silver elegantly solve this problem. A 1/200 ounce bar weighs almost nothing – 25 pieces disappear into any wallet and can easily be carried while traveling without attracting attention. Whether it's a power outage, banking stress, political unrest, or an emergency at home or abroad: fine gold is understood everywhere. It needs no electricity, no app, no counterparty.

That is precisely why miniature bars like these are among the most popular products for various emergency situations. They provide security because you can portion out your reserve – and protection against various crises, because physical precious metal has been accepted as a medium of exchange for thousands of years. Gold is humanity's oldest currency and has outlived every paper currency that has ever competed against it.

Heimerle und Meule: Germany's oldest refinery

The manufacturer is anything but a newcomer. Heimerle + Meule was founded in Pforzheim in 1845 and is considered Germany's oldest gold and silver refinery. Since June 2014, the company's gold bars have been listed on the LBMA's Good Delivery List – an internationally recognized proof of quality that noticeably facilitates later resale. Each bar bears the classic emblem featuring the smelter figure and the year 1845, along with the melter-assayer stamp, the weight designation "1/200 oz", the fineness "FINE GOLD 999.9", and the manufacturer's name.

As usual, details on condition can be found in the description of the respective individual item.

Gold, silver, and the right mix

Many customers combine this package with silver in small units. The reason is obvious: gold stores a great deal of value in a very small space, while silver covers the smaller everyday amounts. Compared to a 1-gram bar, the 1/200 ounce variant clearly scores in terms of divisibility – though the premium per gram is lower for larger bars. Those who want maximum flexibility opt for the smallest units. Those who want to build up mass can add larger units later. Combining both results in robust provisioning.

25 bars, 25 possibilities: those who divide their reserve into small units remain able to act – even when everything around them comes to a standstill.

Who this investor package is intended for

  • For those building a tangible emergency reserve in the smallest possible units
  • For collectors who appreciate the smallest bar format from a traditional German mint
  • For beginners building up a stock of fine gold step by step
  • For anyone who wants to give precious metal as a gift with real substance

Shipping is discreet and insured via value shipping. This way, your fine gold safely arrives where it belongs: at your home, available at all times, without any detour via third parties.
