3 × 1/200 ounce fine gold

Luck has its signs.Signs of luck, together in a set.

Gold lucky set 2026

On New Year cards around 1900, the wish was already in the picture: four-leaf clovers, ladybirds, horseshoes. These are the signs our pieces carry in gold and silver. The set holds three coins: the lucky ladybird on its clover, the horseshoe with “VIEL GLÜCK” and the four-leaf clover.

The lucky ladybird

Seven spots, a lucky number.

In German folk speech the ladybird is called Glückskäfer, the lucky beetle, as the German dictionary Duden records. The Etymological Dictionary of German calls ladybirds the best known and best loved beetles, regarded as a symbol of luck.

The classic lucky charm is the seven-spot ladybird, red with seven black spots. Seven has always been considered a lucky number, writes NABU, the German nature conservation union.

By the way, the spots do not reveal a ladybird’s age. Their number stays the same throughout its life of at most one year.

A seven-spot ladybird eats 100 to 150 aphids a day, its larva 400 to 600 before it pupates.

“As a lucky charm, the seven-spot ladybird … enjoys great popularity.”
NABU, Naturschutzbund Deutschland

In the set it sits on its clover.

The horseshoe

Whoever finds one is in luck.

The DWDS, the digital dictionary of the German language, calls the horseshoe a symbol of luck. Its example: hanging a found horseshoe above the door.

“Whoever finds a horseshoe or a piece of one has luck.”
German Dictionary of the Brothers Grimm, 1877

In the set, one of the three coins carries the horseshoe with “VIEL GLÜCK”.

The four-leaf clover

Four leaves, where three usually grow.

Clover normally has three leaflets, four only in very rare cases. The Botanic Gardens of the University of Bonn call the four-leaf clover a rare exception.

The disposition lies in the genes, as a plant breeder at the University of Georgia found. Whether the fourth leaf actually grows also depends on light and temperature.

The German dictionary Duden calls it Glücksklee: clover with an exceptionally four-part leaf, regarded as a lucky charm. The dictionary of the Brothers Grimm also lists the four-leaf clover as a Glücksblatt, a leaf of luck.

The lucky clover sold in pots, by the way, is a wood sorrel from southern Mexico that naturally has four leaves. It came to Europe in the 19th century.

“A four-leaf clover is a rarity. Lucky is the person who happens to find one.”
Museum der Kulturen, Basel

In this set, each of the three coins carries it.

The set

Three signs, three coins.

Three coins of 1/200 ounce each. Their value sides carry a rose tendril, horseshoes with clovers and a horseshoe around “25 DOLLARS”.

Luck to give

A wish you keep.

At the turn of the year people give lucky charms. The New Year lucky charms we know today came about in the 19th century.

Many people do not want to throw their lucky charms away or pass them on, for fear the luck might go with them.

Whether lucky charms really bring luck may be left open, writes the Volkskundemuseum Wien. And it names what they are meant to say:

“Whoever gives a lucky charm wants to say: I care about you.”
Volkskundemuseum Wien

A gift for a birth or the new year, for instance: the set comes in a case.

Gold Lucky Set 2026: Three Fine Gold Strikes in Proof Quality

  • Strictly limited: worldwide mintage of only 250 pieces – a deliberately small mintage.
  • Growth opportunities: high value appreciation potential due to the strict limitation combined with consistently high demand.
  • Rarity: a true rarity, whose low mintage makes it a sought-after issue.
  • Minting quality: the highest possible minting quality Proof (PP) with mirrored fields and finely matted designs.
  • Design: classic symbols of luck – a four-leaf clover, a ladybug and a horseshoe with the inscription "VIEL GLÜCK" (GOOD LUCK), complemented by delicate rose and vine motifs.
  • Material & fineness: purest fine gold with a fineness of 999.9/1,000 (24 carat), 1/200 oz per coin.
  • Manufacturer: issued by Kettner Edelmetalle.
  • Origin: issuing country Republic of Liberia, face value 25 dollars per coin, year of issue 2026.

With the Gold Lucky Set 2026 you acquire three artistically designed strikes made of pure gold all at once – tangible, physical investment gold in the smallest format. Each of the three coins consists of 999.9/1,000 fine gold, and the issue comes from Kettner Edelmetalle. As beautiful as the designs are, the true core of this issue is not the image, but the precious metal it contains. The value of the set is based primarily on the processed fine gold and moves in line with the gold price.

As small gold coins, the three strikes are excellently suited as an entry point into physical gold investment and for building wealth in manageable steps. Even small amounts of gold add up to a considerable value over the years – and can be traded worldwide at any time. Anyone wishing to give a genuine investment as a gift for a personal occasion such as a birthday, wedding or christening is presenting, with this set, not a fleeting gift, but minted fine gold with lasting substance.

Symbols of luck, finely struck in Proof quality

The three-piece ensemble is presented in a high-quality case with a green-patterned interior lining. The first gold coin shows a sculpturally struck four-leaf clover with a ladybug perched on top, including the finest leaf veins. The middle, somewhat smaller strike bears the flowing inscription "VIEL GLÜCK" (GOOD LUCK) above an upward-facing horseshoe. The third coin places a large clover leaf between golden laurel branches and vines. On the value sides appear a rose with ladybugs as well as the coat of arms of the Republic of Liberia with the inscription "REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA · 25 DOLLARS · 2026". All three coins have a reeded edge and shine in the highest minting quality Proof, in which mirrored surfaces and matted reliefs form an elegant contrast.

Strictly limited edition – only 250 pieces

The mintage is strictly limited: worldwide, only 250 sets exist. This pronounced scarcity makes the issue a true rarity and gives it additional value appreciation potential beyond its pure material value. Anyone looking beyond the substance of the fine gold will find in this collector's coin a particularly rare strike – while the investment character made of 999.9/1,000 fine gold always remains the underlying foundation.

Why physical gold?

Gold is humanity's oldest currency and has outlived all others. It possesses an inherent, intrinsic value – and throughout its entire history has never been worth zero. This is precisely what makes physical gold a foundation for long-term value preservation.

  • Proven store of value: gold has served as a reliable store of value for over 6,000 years.
  • Intrinsic value: as a scarce commodity with limited supply, gold retains its value when confidence in paper money fluctuates.
  • High liquidity: gold is recognized worldwide, tradable at any time and can be quickly converted back into cash.
  • Wealth across generations: physical gold can be preserved as a store of value permanently and passed on.
Gold has been shining for thousands of years – and will not lose its shine in the future either. Whoever owns fine gold holds a timeless asset in their hands.

The Gold Lucky Set 2026 thus combines a loving, personal touch with the tangible substance of pure fine gold. The symbols of luck give the set its character – the gold it contains (999.9/1,000) from Liberia, limited to only 250 pieces, is the real reason the purchase is worthwhile. Secure one of these rare strikes while the limited mintage lasts.
