On the cave wall
The cave painters drew it with a hump on its neck. They were right.
Bones showed nothing of this. Only a calf about 32,000 years old from the ice of Siberia proved the fatty hump in 2024.
In the Chauvet Cave, mammoths, big cats, rhinoceroses and bears are among the most frequent animal images. People first entered the cave about 36,500 years ago.
