Curated collection
Halloween
Motifs that belong to one particular time of the year.
A collection usually takes years to grow. This one arrives complete.

Why as a collection
Put together, not hunted down.
Anyone collecting a subject one piece at a time buys whatever happens to be in stock. Older years, small mintages and strikes from other countries turn up later, or never again.
- One common thread
- The pieces were chosen for a subject, not for what happened to be available.
- A subject closed
- Instead of filling gaps over time, the subject stands whole from the first day.
- No hunting needed
- Gathering what lies together here one piece at a time costs time and attention over years.
What the additions in the name mean.
These terms appear in the article names of the collections. They describe how a coin was made.
- Proof
- The most elaborate way of striking. The die is polished, the field of the coin mirrors, the motif stands matt on top of it.
- Antique finish
- The finished strike is treated afterwards until it looks dark and uneven, like a piece that lay in the ground for a long time.
- High relief
- The motif stands noticeably higher above the field than usual. For that the coin passes through the press several times.
- Partial gilding
- A thin layer of gold is applied to parts of a silver coin so that single areas stand out.
Collecting usually takes years.
Here everything is together on day one.
Different mints, different years, different formats. Gathered one by one, that would be the work of many evenings.

Spooky Autumn: nine coins for the darkest time of year
When the nights grow longer, fog hangs over the fields, and the moon suddenly turns blood red in the sky, the time for stories begins. This is exactly the mood captured by the Halloween Season Collection "Spooky Autumn". Nine carefully selected strikes in silver and gold, each with its own character, united in one set. Spiders, owls, a snarling wolf, a witch. And a maple leaf glowing in autumn colours.
Anyone who loves limited silver coins will discover plenty here. Putting this combination together piece by piece would be difficult: mintages range between 100 and 11,000 pieces, and the total fine weight amounts to 233.31 g of precious metal.

Autumn glow from Canada
Maple Leaf Ultra High Relief: a maple leaf in new splendour
The Royal Canadian Mint has given its classic a premiere: the new Vivid Toning Effect. Walter Ott's iconic maple leaf rises with a relief height of up to 1.4 mm from 99.99% pure silver. It shimmers in yellow, orange and deep red, as if autumn sunlight were falling through the canopy of a Canadian forest. A radiant background pattern enhances the depth. The value side features King Charles III and the face value of 20 dollars. A silver coin that shows just how much colour and dimensionality can fit into one ounce.
Triple Maple Leaf Rhodonite: only 100 pieces
This is the rarest piece in the set. Three overlapping maple leaves sparkle in the pink-black look of the rhodonite gemstone, framed by golden lettering. The coin was finished by Kettner Edelmetalle and issued by the Republic of Liberia. It measures 40 mm and is made of 999.9 fine silver. This design has little in common anymore with the mass-produced Canada Maple Leaf.
Creatures of the night
Majestic Owl: stained glass in silver
Two ounces of silver, 55 mm in diameter, and only 400 pieces worldwide. Issued for Niue, the owl glows in a vividly colourful stained-glass design set against a bright full moon. It is the visual centrepiece of the collection.
Blood Moon: when the moon turns red
The Perth Mint dedicates this coloured strike to the total lunar eclipse. One owl rests on a branch while a second glides through the night, with the blood moon glowing over red clouds in the background. The coin is made of 99.99% silver, struck in Proof quality, and limited to 2,000 pieces.
Wolf 2026: pure symbolism
The wolf comes from the "Symbolism" series and fixes the viewer with bared teeth. Every hair of the fur is finely engraved. A geometric pyramid pattern creates a play of light and shadow. The coin contains 1/2 oz of 999.9 fine silver and is limited to 999 pieces.
Eight legs, two legends
The Red-Back Spider has made history. In 2006 it launched the Perth Mint's "Deadly & Dangerous" series and quickly sold out. For its 20th anniversary, the spider returns coloured and with a special privy mark. The mintage of 2,006 pieces is a nod to its debut year.
Quite different in character is the Golden Orb Weaver from the Pitcairn Islands. Against a deep black background, the partially gilded spider crawls across its intricate web towards a golden egg sac. The coin has a slightly concave shape, like a real web stretched in the wind. Only 1,000 pieces exist.
A touch of gold: witch and pumpkin
Two small gold coins round off the set. The Halloween Witch coin depicts a pointed witch's hat surrounded by fluttering bats. On the Happy Halloween coin, a pumpkin grins; it comes from the Swiss mint Valcambi. Both are made of pure fine gold, making the collection a true gold-and-silver set. Gold is humanity's oldest currency and has outlasted every paper currency. This idea resonates here in miniature form.
Set or individual coins? An honest comparison
Of course, each coin can also be purchased as an individual item. However, with strictly limited issues such as the Rhodonite Maple with only 100 pieces or the owl with 400 pieces, it is often difficult to secure all the designs of a theme in time. The collection takes this search off your hands.
Still, it's worth taking a look at the classic Silver Maple Leaf in Brilliant Uncirculated quality. As a pure bullion coin, it scores with a low premium over the silver value. The designs in this collection, on the other hand, focus on finishing, small mintages and collector appeal. Anyone who values both will find precious metal with soul here.
- Thematically cohesive: Nine designs create a shared feeling. The set is ideal for display cabinets or as a Halloween gift.
- Variety of finishing: Ultra High Relief, gilding, colouring, concave shape, Proof and Reverse Proof are all combined in one set.
- Real substance: Around 233 g of silver and gold retain their material value regardless of the design.
- Value preservation: Precious metals have been regarded for centuries as a proven inflation hedge and safeguard in times of crisis.
Note on condition: The minting quality and condition of each individual coin are explained in detail in the respective individual product listings. This applies to Proof and Reverse Proof as well as to both gold coins.
Whoever collects in autumn harvests stories. This collection tells nine of them, in silver and gold.
Secure the Spooky Autumn collection while the limited designs are still available together. Halloween comes back every year, but this combination does not.
