The Heavyweight: Savage Vikings in Three Ounces

The centrepiece of the collection is the 3-ounce "Savage Vikings" edition from the Cook Islands – the sixth and, at the same time, final release in the "Legends" series. It depicts Ragnar Lodbrok together with his sons Ivar the Boneless and Björn Ironside, with the halls of Valhalla in the background. Smartminting technology drives the relief to a height you can feel with your fingertips; the helmet and sword hilt of the middle warrior are finely gilded. 93.3 g fine silver, 45 mm diameter, Proof. Only 500 examples of this silver coin exist worldwide.

Beasts, Goddesses of Fate, and Rune Stones

Gullinbursti, the golden-bristled boar from the Edda, was forged by the dwarves Sindri and Brokkr and served the Vanir god Freyr as a mount. The Germania Mint captured him in 2025 in Ultra Double High Relief on two ounces of fine silver, mintage 999, with striking partial gilding. His counterpart is Sleipnir, Odin's eight-legged steed, which continues the Germania Beasts series in 2026. Urd and Werdanda, in turn, embody two of the three Norns – the goddesses of fate who spin the threads of life at the well beneath Yggdrasil. Urd represents what has become, Werdanda what is becoming. Added to these are two cast bars from the Runes Collection in stone form: Berkanan, the birch rune of growth and new beginnings, and Mannaz, the rune of man. Both feature an Antique Finish and are limited to 2,500 pieces each. The Loki bar, finally, comes from the "Nordic Gods" series by the British Royal Mint and depicts the cunning shapeshifter amid flames and serpents.
