Philip Hopf Investment Package – Gold, Silver and a Limited Collector's Item in One Set

Some packages are just a collection of coins. This one has a signature. The Philip Hopf Investment Package combines the world's most recognized bullion coins, small bars of German manufacture and a strictly limited silver coin in Proof quality featuring the portrait of Philip Hopf. In total, the set contains 249.03 g fine weight of precious metal (gross weight 249.41 g). Gold and silver are divided into denominations that suit beginners just as well as experienced investors.

Philip Hopf is co-founder of the Stuttgart-based analysis firm HKCM (Hopf-Klinkmüller Capital Management). Many know him through his market analyses using the Elliott Wave method and through the podcast "Hoss & Hopf". Anyone who follows his work knows: he thinks in long cycles. This investment package picks up on that idea. Broadly diversified, long-term in design, and physically in your own hands.

What's Inside the Package

  • 1x 1 ounce Silver Philip Hopf 2026 – Proof, worldwide mintage of only 999 pieces, 31.1 g fine silver (999.9/1,000)
  • 1x 1/10 ounce Gold Krugerrand 2026 – 3.11 g fine gold, the classic from South Africa
  • 2x 1 g Gold Maple Leaf – fine gold 999.9 from the Royal Canadian Mint
  • 3x 1 ounce Silver Maple Leaf 2026 – each 31.1 g fine silver (999.9/1,000)
  • 32x 1/10 ounce Silver Britannia 2026 – each 3.11 g fine silver (999/1,000) from The Royal Mint
  • 1x Kettner Crisis Protection Box XS – 4x 1 g fine gold bars and 16x 1 g silver bars from Heimerle + Meule, each 999.9 fine

Added together, that's approximately 9.11 g fine gold and 239.92 g fine silver, spread across 39 coins and 20 bars. It's rare to find so many different denominations in a single set.

The Centerpiece: 1 ounce Silver Philip Hopf 2026

At the heart of the set is the silver coin from the "Personalities" series, issued by Kettner Edelmetalle. The obverse features a photorealistic portrait of Philip Hopf with his trademark smile, with a rising candlestick chart hinted at in the background. The inscription includes terms like "Perspective" and "Patience" — fitting for someone who reads markets in waves. The reverse shows Hopf as a full figure with his arms crossed and a finely crafted wristwatch, along with the inscriptions "20 DOLLARS", "1 OZ 9999 FINE SILVER" and "REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA".

The coin is struck in Proof quality: mirrored fields, frosted relief, and an abundance of fine detail. At 40 mm in diameter, the design is shown to full effect. The mintage is limited to 999 pieces worldwide. The coin is delivered in a protective coin capsule.

"Gold is humanity's oldest currency – it has outlasted every paper currency ever invented."

Gold from Two Continents – Krugerrand and Maple Leaf

The Krugerrand has been issued in South Africa since 1967 and is considered the first modern bullion coin ever. The blanks come from the Rand Refinery, and minting takes place at the South African Mint. Characteristic of the Krugerrand is its 22-karat alloy with a fineness of 916.67/1,000 and a copper content. This gives the coin its warm, slightly reddish tone and makes it particularly scratch-resistant. Nevertheless, the 1/10 ounce contains exactly 3.11 g of pure gold.

The 1 g Gold Maple Leaf coins come from the Royal Canadian Mint, which has issued one of the world's best-known gold coins since 1979. With 999.9 fine gold, the Maple Leaf ranks among the purest bullion coins on the market. A comparison shows how well the two complement each other: the Krugerrand is more robust, the Maple Leaf is purer. In this package, you get both.

Silver in Every Size – From the Gram to the Ounce

The Silver Maple Leaf coins with 999.9 fineness are among the most sought-after silver coins in the world. The Royal Canadian Mint equips them with modern security features, such as radial lines in the coin's field. Three full ounces form the foundation of the silver portion.

In addition, there are 32 Britannia coins of 1/10 ounce each. They feature Britannia with trident and shield, designed by Philip Nathan. This design has graced the first European silver bullion coin since 1997. At 16.5 mm in diameter, these coins are easy to handle, simple to store, and ideal when small denominations are needed.

The Kettner Crisis Protection Box XS

The smallest denomination offers the greatest flexibility. The compact master box contains 4 gold bars and 16 silver bars, each weighing 1 g. They are manufactured by the traditional Pforzheim house Heimerle + Meule, which has existed since 1845. Here, both gold and silver have a fineness of 999.9. Gram bars of this kind are intended as a medium of exchange for difficult times and fit into any drawer.

  2. Fine denominations: From the 1 g bar to full ounces. Later on, you can sell exactly the amount you need and keep the rest.
  3. Globally recognized: Krugerrand, Maple Leaf and Britannia are recognized by dealers around the world.
  4. Collector's value included: The limited Philip Hopf coin in Proof quality adds a numismatic appeal to the metal value.
  5. Tangible crisis protection: Physical precious metal is a tangible asset that doesn't depend on any payment promise. For thousands of years, it has served as protection against inflation.

For context: Small denominations are more labor-intensive to produce than larger bars, which is why the premium per gram is higher. In return, you gain flexibility — and that's exactly what this package is designed for.
