On the tablet

Fifty bars, each with its own marks

Each of the fifty bars bears the name of the house at the top, below it the medallion with the caster and 1845, then “1g 999.9” and “FINE GOLD”.

999.9 means: of 1,000 parts, 999.9 are pure gold. Whether the number on the bar has a comma or a point, it is the same fineness.

The round medallion shows the figure of a caster, as the house calls it, above the year 1845.

CombiBar

Firmly joined, yet divisible

“Firmly joined and yet quickly divisible when needed”: this is how the house describes its CombiBars of 999.9 fine gold.

The tablet consists of fifty bars of 1 g each, ten side by side in five rows. The house gives its dimensions as 52 by 74 millimetres, 0.8 millimetres thick.

The house calls it “a good alternative to the UnityBars”: the same principle of one-gram bars, only firmly joined instead of loose in a capsule.

Heimerle + Meule

A house from Pforzheim

Recovering and refining precious metal has been at the heart of the house since its founding. Today it recovers gold and silver from jewellery, coins, dental gold alloys, silverware and silver-plated cutlery, as well as from industrial residues.

Chronicle

The chronicle of the house

  1. 1845

Julius Dittler founds a sweepings works, a “Kehretsanstalt”, in Pforzheim to recover precious metal from production waste on behalf of his customers.

  2. 1945

In the war the company building is destroyed, according to the house on 23 February. The house finds new premises at the jewellery and watch factory Knoll + Pregitzer.

  3. 1977

The house leaves the town centre and moves into premises in the Brötzinger Tal industrial area.

  4. 2010

The house introduces its investment products division.

  5. 2014

On 3 June the LBMA, the association of the London precious metals market, admits Heimerle + Meule to its Good Delivery List for gold, the register of accredited refiners.

LBMA

What the London list means

The LBMA’s Good Delivery List names the refiners whose bars may be delivered into the London market.

It refers to large bars: for gold between 350 and 430 fine ounces, about 10.9 to 13.4 kilograms. Smaller bars do not count in London wholesale trading, so a bar of 1 g is not a Good Delivery bar.

The print “LBMA Good Delivery Refiner” on the packaging therefore refers to the house, not to the individual bar.

50 x 1g Gold CombiBar (Made in Germany): fifty grams of crisis provision from Heimerle und Meule

  • Investment goal: With a gold CombiBar like this one, you protect your wealth against crises of very different kinds and against inflation.
  • Preserving value: Gold bars are a proven store of value and secure the purchasing power of your wealth over long periods.
  • Protection: When rising prices, recession and high national debt come together, gold gives your wealth security.
  • Crisis protection: In an emergency, every gram you break off becomes a means of payment and exchange that is understood all over the world.
  • Small denominations: 50 segments of 1 g each that can be detached individually from the plate

Nobody knows which crisis will come next, but you can prepare for it. The 50 x 1g Gold CombiBar (Made in Germany) combines fifty grams of fine gold in a single plate of fifty small bars. This makes it a solid inflation hedge for your savings and at the same time a supply of small values for emergencies.

Protection against very different crises

Crises have many faces: persistent currency devaluation, turmoil in the financial system or a prolonged failure of the usual payment channels. In such situations, a tangible asset that does without banks provides security. Well-thought-out crisis protection therefore relies on gold in small units that can be used in a targeted way.

Small denominations in gold and silver are among the most popular products for emergencies for many investors, whether at home or far from home. If you add coins made of silver to this CombiBar, you are prepared for amounts of any size.

Fifty small bars in one plate

The individual grams are joined to one another by fine predetermined breaking points. You only break off what you need at the moment, and the remaining segments stay together as a plate. Each piece consists of fine gold with a fineness of 999.9/1,000 and is so small and light that it fits into any wallet and can easily be taken along when travelling.

Made in Germany by Heimerle und Meule

The CombiBar is made in Germany by Heimerle und Meule. The refinery was founded in Pforzheim in 1845 and is one of the oldest gold and silver refineries in Germany. As a manufacturer of gold bars, it is on the LBMA Good Delivery List, whose requirements are regarded as the benchmark in the international gold trade. The minted bar, which is new, comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Value preservation that does not depend on trust in paper money

Many currencies used to be tied to gold. Since this link was severed, the value of paper money has rested solely on trust in states and central banks, and the money supply can be expanded. Gold, on the other hand, carries its value within itself: it is scarce, durable and cannot be produced at will. As investment gold, this CombiBar is also VAT-free.

Five arguments for this CombiBar

  1. Crisis protection: fifty individual grams as a means of exchange for emergencies
  2. Small denominations: 50 x 1 g, 50 g of fine gold in total
  3. Fineness: 999.9/1,000
  4. Origin: Made in Germany, by Heimerle und Meule
  5. Documentation: certificate of authenticity
Security does not arise only in a crisis, but through the provision you make beforehand.

Build up your crisis provision with the 50 x 1g Gold CombiBar (Made in Germany) from Kettner Edelmetalle.
