Minted bars

Clean lines, a crisp strike

On a minted bar, lettering and marks stand out sharply on a smooth surface, and the edges are straight. The house describes its minted bars as clean in design and finely made, with a distinctive strike.

The back of this small bar is plain.

Heimerle + Meule

A house from Pforzheim

Recovering and refining precious metal has been at the heart of the house since its founding. Today it recovers gold and silver from jewellery, coins, dental gold alloys, silverware and silver-plated cutlery, as well as from industrial residues.

Chronicle

The chronicle of the house

  3. 1977

The house leaves the town centre and moves into premises in the Brötzinger Tal industrial area.

  4. 2010

The house introduces its investment products division.

  5. 2014

LBMA

What the London list means

The LBMA’s Good Delivery List names the refiners whose bars may be delivered into the London market.

It refers to large bars: for gold between 350 and 430 fine ounces, about 10.9 to 13.4 kilograms. Smaller bars do not count in London wholesale trading, so a bar of 0.5 g is not a Good Delivery bar.

From the dust of the workshops

The year in the medallion, 1845, is the year in which the story of the house begins.

Heimerle + Meule, Pforzheim.

  • Investment goal: With gold bars, you effectively protect your wealth against currency devaluation.
  • Value preservation: A gold bar is a reliable store of value that preserves and can grow the real substance of your wealth.
  • Protection: Especially in times of inflation, recession and high national debt, you can safeguard your wealth with gold.

The 0.5g gold bar from Heimerle und Meule brings genuine fine gold into one of the most convenient formats available. Small, cleanly minted, recognized worldwide – and above all: a physical gold investment whose value is primarily based on the half gram of fine gold it contains and moves in line with the gold price. Anyone looking to get started with gold in small, affordable steps will find an ideal building block here for long-term wealth accumulation.

Crisis protection in pocket format

It is precisely the small denomination that makes this bar so popular for crisis protection. Small units of gold and silver can be used flexibly, have long been regarded as a proven means of exchange, and provide security in a wide variety of emergency situations – whether at home or abroad. A bar of this size fits into any wallet and can be discreetly taken along on trips without attracting attention. Small amounts of gold also add up over the years to a considerable fortune, which you can divide up entirely according to your needs.

As an inflation hedge, physical gold has proven itself over millennia. For over 6,000 years, this precious metal has served as a stable store of value, it has never been worth zero, and it reliably protects against a loss of purchasing power. While fiat money can be created at will by central banks, the supply of gold is naturally limited – and this is precisely what supports its value preservation. It is no coincidence that central banks themselves hoard enormous gold reserves: a clear sign of how little trust they place in their own paper money.

Heimerle + Meule – tradition since 1845

Heimerle + Meule, based in the gold city of Pforzheim, is Germany's oldest active precious metals refinery and is LBMA-certified as a conflict-free gold processor. This makes the bar recognized worldwide and readily tradable at any time. The obverse of this minted bar features the lettering HEIMERLE + MEULE, below it "FINE GOLD", the fineness "999.9", the weight designation "0.5g", as well as the characteristic bar logo with the little smelter figure above the year 1845 and the "melter assayer" hallmark. The shiny surface, the rectangular shape and the rounded corners showcase the precision of German craftsmanship.

Would you like to give something lasting for a christening, birthday or wedding? Then give the gift of genuine investment gold – not just a present, but a tangible asset. The design is the personal touch, while the fine gold it contains is the actual substance and reason for the purchase.

Anyone who buys a gold bar of this kind benefits from high liquidity: the bar can be sold again at any time and quickly converted into cash. Profits from the sale are generally tax-free after a minimum holding period of one year, and investment gold is exempt from VAT. In this way, the 0.5g gold bar from Heimerle und Meule combines proven German quality with a clear goal: the long-term protection and preservation of your wealth.
