Under the magnifier

Feather by feather down to the olives: the Dove of Peace 2026 in 0.5 g gold up close.

Up close the design shows how finely it is worked: the eye of the dove, the olives on the branch, the claws and the open wings between mirrored and frosted scrolls.

The sign

A sign of peace since Noah’s Ark: the Dove of Peace 2026 in 0.5 g gold.

  1. Genesis 8:11A fresh olive leafAfter the flood Noah lets a dove fly from the ark. It returns to him in the evening with a freshly plucked olive leaf in its beak, and Noah knows that the waters have gone down from the earth.
  2. AntiquityThe olive branch of peaceIn ancient Greece, too, the olive branch stood for peace: according to Herodotus, Aristagoras of Miletus carried one when he asked the king of Sparta for help. The Romans showed the god Mars as a bringer of peace with an olive branch.
  3. 1949Picasso’s doveOn 9 January 1949 Pablo Picasso made his lithograph “La Colombe”, the dove. Louis Aragon made it the poster of the 1949 Peace Congress in Paris. That same year Picasso’s daughter Paloma was born; her name is the Spanish word for dove.

The other side

A tree of life grows on the other side: the Dove of Peace 2026 in 0.5 g gold turned over.

On the value side a tree of life spreads its branches in spirals, below it broad roots reach into the ground. Along the trunk runs REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA, at its foot sits the small coat of arms of Liberia with sailing ship and palm. On the left the face value of 25 dollars, on the right the year 2026.

True to size

2026 with open wings, 2025 in the wreath: the Dove of Peace 2026 in 0.5 g gold and its series.

The doves of peace in the Symbolik series by Kettner Edelmetalle, struck in Germany and issued for the Republic of Liberia: in 2025 the dove flies in a wreath of branches, in 2026 it spreads its wings fully. Each coin stands here true to size beside the others.

As a gift

For a baptism, First Communion or confirmation: the Dove of Peace 2026 in 0.5 g gold.

Since Noah the dove with the olive branch has stood for peace, and at the baptism of Jesus the Spirit came down upon him like a dove. That is why it is a favourite gift for a baptism, a First Communion or a confirmation, a sign that lasts a lifetime. The coin sits in a coincard with painted doves; on its back it reads “Wo die Taube fliegt, wächst der Friede” (where the dove flies, peace grows).

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw heaven open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

0.5 g Gold Dove of Peace 2026: Investment Gold in Proof Quality, Only 500 Pieces Worldwide

  • Strictly limited: There are only 500 pieces worldwide of this issue made from pure gold. That is one-tenth of the quantity minted of last year's 0.5 g Dove of Peace.
  • Rarity: A genuine rarity among the small gold coins and at the same time full-fledged investment gold.
  • Investment character: The value is primarily based on 0.5 g of fine gold and moves in line with the gold price. You can trade and sell the coin at any time.
  • Growth potential: The value appreciation potential results from the development of the gold price. The tight limitation of the mintage makes each piece additionally exclusive.
  • Minting quality: Highest minting quality Proof (PP), executed as Reverse Proof with a vivid interplay of mirror-polished and frosted surfaces.
  • Design: A dove of peace in flight with an olive branch in its claws. The value side features an intricate tree of life with widely branching roots.
  • Material / fineness: 0.5 g fine gold with a fineness of at least 999.9/1,000. The coin itself is inscribed "9999 FINE GOLD".
  • Manufacturer: Kettner Edelmetalle, "Symbolism" series.
  • Country of origin: Minted in Germany and officially issued for the Republic of Liberia with a face value of 25 dollars.

A symbol that everyone understands. Minted in a metal that has outlasted every paper currency. The 0.5 g Gold Dove of Peace 2026 combines both in just 14 millimeters. In appearance, the coin may be reminiscent of a collector's coin. At its core, however, you are holding genuine investment gold. The actual reason to buy is not the dove, but the half gram of fine gold. Its value is determined by the gold price, which is traded worldwide.

A mintage of only 500 pieces

Kettner Edelmetalle has deliberately kept the Dove of Peace 2026 scarce. With a mintage of only 500 pieces, it ranks among the smallest mintage figures for 0.5-gram coins. A comparison illustrates this: The 0.5 g Gold Dove of Peace 2025 was still issued in 5,000 pieces and had a diameter of 11 mm. The 0.5 g Gold Tree of Life 2026 also exists in 5,000 pieces. Thanks to this very low mintage, each individual piece is exclusive. This does not change the substance, however. It remains pure fine gold, whose value develops in line with the gold price.

Dove of Peace and Tree of Life: the design in detail

On the obverse, a dove spreads its wings wide. Every feather is worked out in relief. In its claws it carries an olive branch with fruits. Since the biblical story of the flood, this has been probably the most well-known symbol of peace in the world. In the background, delicate leaf ornaments and strings of pearls wind around. At the lower edge is the inscription "0.5 g 9999 FINE GOLD".

The reverse shows a tree of life. Its curved branches end in playful spirals, and its roots dig broadly into the ground. On the left is "25 DOLLARS", on the right the year "20 26", and along the trunk the inscription "Republic of Liberia". A reeded edge completes the design. The coincard picks up on the theme: it shows painted white doves against a blue-gray background with golden accents. On the back is the motto:

"Where the dove flies, peace grows."

Proof quality in Reverse Proof execution

The coin is minted in Proof (PP) quality, the most demanding execution known in coin minting. Highly polished dies and carefully prepared blanks ensure a razor-sharp relief. With Reverse Proof, the classic principle is reversed: the frosted and mirrored surfaces swap roles. This makes the plumage, olive leaves, and treetop stand out with particular contrast. Our tip: leave the coin in the coincard. This keeps the sensitive surface permanently flawless.

Why investment gold in small denominations is convincing

Gold is the oldest currency in the world and a proven store of value for over 6,000 years. It has an intrinsic value, is recognized worldwide, and has never been worthless. It is no coincidence that central banks are among the largest holders of gold. Many investors also value the precious metal as an inflation hedge and as crisis protection. Gold does not rust and does not age. Its properties remain the same over years and decades.

Small units like this one in particular make it easy to build up wealth step by step. They can be sold individually, without having to part with an entire large bar. They are also well suited for passing on value to the next generation.

Honestly compared: anyone who only looks at the lowest price per gram tends to opt for larger bars. The Dove of Peace, however, offers other advantages. It is an official coin, elaborately minted in Proof quality, and has a limited mintage. Thanks to the small denomination, entry into physical gold investment is possible even with a small budget.

Give the gift of real gold investment

Whether for a baptism, a wedding, a milestone birthday, or Christmas: do not give a mere gift item, but a genuine asset. Despite the personal occasion, you are acquiring full-fledged investment gold here, i.e., minted fine gold whose value is based on the gold price. Anyone who adds a small piece every year will be amazed at how much it grows into over the years. Small amounts of gold add up over time to a considerable fortune.
